| ¿Necesito dejar un depósito? | Do I need to leave a deposit? |
Example:
Buenas tardes. Tengo una reservación a nombre de Anderson.
Un momento... sí, aquí está. ¿Me permite su pasaporte?
Claro, aquí tiene.

Handling Common Problems Politely
| Spanish | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Disculpe, hay un problema con... | Excuse me, there's a problem with... |
| El aire acondicionado no funciona | The air conditioning doesn't work |
| No hay agua caliente | There's no hot water |
| La habitación no está limpia | The room isn't clean |
| ¿Me puede ayudar, por favor? | Can you help me, please? |
| ¿Es posible cambiar de habitación? | Is it possible to change rooms? |
Leading with "Disculpe" and phrasing the issue as a simple statement of fact (rather than a complaint) tends to get the fastest, friendliest help — staff respond well to calm, polite requests.
Practice Suggestion
Role-play a full check-in, then a request for something missing from your room (towels, wifi password, or a problem like no hot water), entirely in Spanish. Say both sides of the conversation out loud if you don't have a partner.
